Thailand shares updates on Eastern Economic Corridor with diplomatic corps
Ms. Duangjai Asawachintachit (Right), Secretary General, Thailand Board of Investment (BOI), shared the investment promotion measures in the Eastern Economic Corridor (EEC) at the briefing on “The Eastern Economic Corridor (EEC): Taking Off”. The incentives include up to 13-year of corporate income tax exemption on condition that the projects must have cooperation with educational institutions to develop human resource by participating in vocational educational training or cooperative education programs.
Hosted by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the briefing was led by H.E. Dr. Uttama Savanayana, Minister of Industry, together with H.E. Dr. Kobsak Pootrakool (Center), Minister Attached to the Prime Minister’s Office and Dr. Kanit Sangsubhan (Left), Secretary-General, Eastern Economic Corridor Office, providing the overview and update information on the EEC projects, including the EEC Act and the upcoming PPP investment projects. The event was well-received by diplomatic and consular missions accredited to Thailand from 55 countries.
