Mr. Suthiket Thatpitak-Kul, Deputy Secretary-General of the BOI, represented the BOI at the opening of the “Consultative Forum Post ASEAN Economic Community (AEC)-2025: Investment Priorities and Policy Imperatives” in Bangkok. The event, organized by UNCTAD and the ASEAN Secretariat. It was attended by officials from Investment Promotion Agencies (IPAs) of ASEAN countries and representatives from Business Advisory Councils of countries interested in investing in ASEAN, including Canada, China, Japan, the United Kingdom, and the European Union, held at the Novotel Hotel in Bangkok. Key topics included sustainable economic strategies, renewable energy transition, electric vehicle supply chain development, digital economy promotion, and fostering innovation and SME growth. The forum also featured discussions on the past successes and challenges of the ASEAN Economic Community (AEC) and explored future collaborative efforts to support the new AEC strategic plan post-2025.
