Mr. Narit Therdsteerasukdi, Secretary General of the Thailand Board of Investment (BOI), gave a speech during the opening ceremony of BYD Auto (Thailand) Co., Ltd.'s electric vehicle (EV) manufacturing plant at WHA Industrial Estate in Rayong Province, BYD's first EV manufacturing facility outside China. The milestone event was attended by over 300 participants from government, private sector, and media. This state-of-the-art plant highlights Thailand's emergence as ASEAN's premier EV production base, attracting investments from global automotive leaders. BYD aims to achieve over 50% localization of automotive parts by 2025, showcasing Thailand's quality supply chain.
