27 December 2022 - The Thailand Board of Investment (BOI) has officially appointed Mr. Shuichi Ishibashi, Global CEO and Representative Executive Officer, Bridgestone Corporation, Japan, as an Honorary Investment Advisor (HIA) to the BOI.

Mr. Narit Therdsteerasukdi, Secretary General of the BOI, presented the Certificate of Appointment to Mr. Keiji Chuma, Managing Director of Thai Bridgestone Co., Ltd. and Bridgestone Sales (Thailand) Co., Ltd., who received the certificate on behalf of Mr. Shuichi Ishibashi.

Other senior BOI executives, including Ms. Sonklin Ploymee, BOI Deputy Secretary General, Mr. Chatri Limpongsai, Director of Investment Promotion Division 2, and Ms. Tanita Sirisup, Director of Foreign Investment Promotion Division, attended the event.

Bridgestone and is one of the world's leading foreign companies investing in Thailand, where it has been established for more than 50 years. The company has more than 30 promoted projects in Thailand, with a combined investment value of more than 30 billion baht. The company has entrusted Thailand to be its second home market after Japan.

The HIAs, as Thailand Business Ambassadors, helps advise the BOI on issues related to its strategy to attract foreign investment.
