22 December 2022 – Mr. Narit Therdsteerasukdi, Secretary General of the Thailand Board of Investment (BOI) together with Ms. Sonklin Ploymee, BOI Deputy Secretary General and other BOI officials visited the factory of Ajinomoto (Thailand) Co., Ltd., in Saraburi, which they were welcomed by the company’s president Mr. Ichiro Sakakura, and the management team. The two sides discussed the outlook for smart and sustainable Industrial facilities, including the use of automation systems, digital technology, renewable energy and improved production processes that are environmentally friendly and emit less carbon.

Ajinomoto Co., Ltd. (Thailand) Co., Ltd. has been established for more than 60 years and was one of the first foreign companies to be promoted by the BOI. Currently, the company operates more than 20 promoted projects, with a total investment value of more than 30 billion baht. The company has made Thailand its largest production base outside of Japan and the home of its regional headquarters.
