20 October 2022 - Mr. Narit Therdsteerasukdi, Secretary General of the Thailand Board of Investment (BOI) welcomed Mr. Tanee Sangrat, outgoing Director-General of the Department of Information and Spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and newly appointed Thai Ambassador to Washington DC, to discuss opportunities to promote investment in Thailand from the United States. In the past 5 years (2018 – September 2022), there were 169 investment project applications filed with the BOI by companies from the U.S., with a combined investment value of 91.6 billion baht, mostly in the electronics industry, automotive and parts, chemicals, and bioplastics.
