23 October 2019 - Mr. Somkid Jatusripitak, Thailand’s Deputy Prime Minister gave a keynote speech at a seminar on "Strategic Partnership through the Belt and Road Initiative and the EEC" organised by the Thailand Board of Investment (BOI) at the Four Seasons Hotel, in Shenzhen, China. Mr. Kobsak Phutrakul, Deputy Secretary General to the Prime Minister for Political Affairs, Ms. Duangjai Asawachintachit, Secretary General of the BOI, and Mr. Kanit Sangsubhan, Secretary General of the Eastern Economic Corridor Office of Thailand (EECO) also gave presentations about investment opportunities in Thailand to the audience of over 500 leading businesspeople.

During the seminar, Huawei applied with the BOI for investment promotion to setup a vocational training center in Thailand.
