Mr. Nanthapol Sudbanthad, Director of Thailand Board of Investment, New York Office, and team attended IFT FIRST Annual Event and Expo 2023. The event was organized during 17-19 July 2023 at McCormick Place, Chicago, to interact with various companies exhibiting their new and innovative products in the following areas: Food Security & Food Innovation, Food Science & Plant-based Food, Food Technology & Ingredients Prebiotics, Seed Funding Support etc., which has opened the door to additional areas of cooperation here in the U.S.

IFT annual event dedicated to promoting one-on-one partnering for business development and networking events focused on food science, technology, and innovation in the manufacturing of food, food ingredients, and beverages. With more than 1,000 companies, the participants will have a chance to meet business investors and industry experts. The director took this opportunity to discuss and provide the Thai government support and BOI investment promotion incentive in Agriculture and Food Industries. In addition, he touched on BOI’s actions to promote the whole range of the supply chain from upstream to downstream when it comes to bio-based technology, also covering the areas of simplifying access to skilled labor through the Long-Term Resident (LTR) Visa scheme. During his visit to Chicago, Mr. Nanthapol also took an opportunity to visit Ms. Natnapang Damrongsoontornchai, Acting Consul-General of Thailand in Chicago. They exchanged views and ways to promote investment opportunities and also discussed prospects for cooperation on various activities and projects.
