BOI, New York Office attended the 9th Annual Wharton DC Innovation Summit in Arlington, Virginia. The event was organized by the Wharton Club of DC in collaboration with the Harvard Club of Washington, and the University of Oxford Alumni Network Washington DC.

On 22 June 2023 Mr. Nanthapol Sudbanthad, Director of Thailand Board of Investment, New York Office, attended the 9th Annual Wharton DC Innovation Summit in Arlington, Virginia. The event was organized by the Wharton Club of DC in collaboration with the Harvard Club of Washington, and the University of Oxford Alumni Network Washington DC. Mr. Nanthapol, together with Asst. Prof. Suthira Taychakhoonavudh, CEO of Baiya Phytopham, panelists Pete Thurlow, Chair, IP Medical Device Group, Katherine Ritchie, TEDCO Senior Director, Venture Funds, and Daniel Ryan, Alikos Wealth Management Principal, exchanged views on how to expand investment through VCs support of the Life Science startup companies. BOI, New York Office, the only government agency invited to take part in the panelist session, took this opportunity to discuss and provide the Thai government support and BOI investment promotion incentives covering the areas of simplifying access to collaborate with government agencies, Thai startups, and universities through the Long-Term Resident (LTR) Visa scheme. The Annual Wharton DC Innovation Summit is dedicated to exploring advanced technological cutting-edge potential, with grants backed by the VCs spending to commercialize and networking focused on Life Science technology. There were more than 200 startup companies, VCs, and accelerators participating in the event.
