9 May 2023 - Mr. Narit Therdsteerasukdi, Secretary General of the Thailand Board of Investment was invited by Mr. Martin Schwenk, Managing Director Passenger Cars Region South East Asia 1 & CEO Mercedes-Benz (Thailand) Limited, to give a presentation about Thailand’s policies to promote the electric vehicle (EV) industry, and to exchange views with the senior executives of Mercedes-Benz taking part to the company’s annual Regional Overseas Meeting which was held in Thailand last week.

Mr. Narit’s presentation described Thailand’s investment promotion to attract EV manufacturers and the buildup of the related ecosystem and supply chain, as well as the country’s potential and readiness to become a major EV production base. The ensuing conversation focused on various issues of interest, including the availability of charging stations and renewable energy and the measures to promote EV demand.
