August 31, 2022 - The Thailand Board of Investment (BOI) held an event to launch the 10-year Long Term Resident (LTR) visa program to attract high potential individuals from overseas to invest and live long term in Thailand, with a 5-years target to attract one million applicants in 4 categories. M.L. Chayotid Kridakorn, Thailand Trade Representative and Advisor to the Prime Minister, delivered the opening remarks on the official launch of LTR applications starting 1st September 2022. There was a also panel discussion about the benefits the LTR will bring with speakers including Ms. Duangjai Asawachintachit, Secretary General of the BOI, Mr. Natwut Amornvivat, Vice Chairman of the Digital Council of Thailand, Ms. Vibeke Lyssand Leirvåg, Chairwoman of the Joint Foreign Chambers of Commerce in Thailand (JFCCT), and Mr. Omri Morgenshtern, CEO of Agoda. The event was held at the Waldorf Astoria Hotel, Bangkok. More than 300 people attended the event.
