16 January 2020 – The Thailand Board of Investment (BOI) held a press conference about “Thailand’s investment ecosystem update” to update the international media about the Thai government’s policies regarding investment and trade. The speakers included a key member of the government’s economic team, and the heads of two important policy setting departments, namely Dr Kobsak Pootrakool, Deputy Secretary-General to the Prime Minister and Secretary to Council of Economic Ministers, Ms Duangjai Asawachintachit, Secretary General of the BOI, and Ms Pimchanok Vonkorpon, Director-General of the Trade Policy and Strategy Office, or TPSO, Ministry of Commerce. The press conference, held at the Foreign Correspondent Club of Thailand in Bangkok, was attended by an audience of over 50 journalists, analysts and diplomats.
