1 August 2019 - Thailand Board of Investment (BOI) executives led by Ms. Duangjai Asawachintachit, Secretary General, signed a memorandum of understanding to enter cooperation with a network of 8 leading Thai university partners, namely Kasetsart University, Khonkaen University, Chiang Mai University, Mahidol University, Thammasat University, Prince of Songkla University, Naresuan University, and Chulalongkorn University.

The 8 universities partnered in setting up the Research University Network, or RUN, to help develop the use of academic research into commercial applications and also to serve as a channel for industrial entrepreneurs to access knowledge in science, technology and innovation.
