3 July 2019 - Ms. Duangjai Asawachintachit Secretary-General of the Thailand Board of Investment (BOI) and Mr. Chokedee Kaewsang, Deputy “Secretary-General”of the BOI, welcomed Mr. Peng Chun, Chairman of the China Investment Corporation (CIC), the sovereign wealth fund of the People's Republic of China, who is responsible for managing the country’s international reserves and investment funds both at home and abroad.

CIC sees the potential of Thailand as a target investment country and requested the meeting to hear about Thailand’s investment promotion policies and investment opportunities, while also discussing the CIC’s fund management policy in China and overseas.
