On April 22, 2025, Mr. Suthiket Thatpitak-Kul, Deputy Secretary General of the Thailand Board of Investment (BOI), participated in the “IGNITE Thailand-Korea Business Forum” held at Lotte Hotel Seoul, Republic of Korea.

The forum aimed to strengthen trade and investment cooperation between Thailand and South Korea, while also commemorating the 67th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two nations. Key Thai representatives joining the event included H.E. Mr. Suchart Chomklin, Deputy Minister of Commerce, and H.E. Mr. Tanee Sangrat, Ambassador of Thailand to Seoul, along with over 250 participants.

On this occasion, Mr. Suthiket delivered a keynote speech on “Business and Investment Opportunities in Thailand,” highlighting BOI’s investment promotion policies and presenting Thailand as an attractive destination for foreign investment. Emerging opportunities in sectors such as Upstream Electronics, xEV (electric vehicles), Digital, and Bio-Based Industries were also emphasized. His speech further underlined Thailand’s readiness to provide comprehensive investment facilitation.

Furthermore, Mr. Suthiket participated in interviews with Korean media outlets, including The Korea Herald and Economic Chosun magazine, to exchange views on the current economic and investment landscape.

This forum provided a valuable opportunity to deepen trade and investment relations between Thailand and South Korea, while further reinforcing Thailand’s role as a strategic economic partner. BOI remains committed to fully supporting investment and business collaboration between the two nations.
