BUILD, or the BOI Unit for Industrial Linkage Development, has played a vital role in developing the industrial linkage for more than 10 years, The duties of BUILD are to act as intermediary between manufacturers of ready-made products and small-and medium-sized manufacturers of parts, which will result in the linkage of industries and the transfer of production technology, leading to the strong growth in supporting industries in Thailand. All this provides a sound base for the sustainable development of the country's industry as a whole.
ASID is the on-line database providing detailed information on parts manufacturers in supporting industries in Thailand and ASEAN member countries. Buyer can easily access and search for information of parts suppliers via the internet at www.asidnet.org . ASEAN suppliers can register and present their company profiles and parts information through the ASID homepage for free of charge. The ASID database, therefore, is an effective marketing channet for parts suppliers, and also a helpful sourcing tool for worldwide buyer to source parts from the ASEAN region. The information is categorized into five main industries: Automotive, Electronic and Electrical, Petrochemical and Plastic, Mold and Die, and other supporting and other supporting industries.
